Nehirim Family Programming
Nehirim will be welcoming the New Year 5775 with its new Family Programming.
In the 10 years since Nehirim was formed, so much has changed in the LGBTQ world. As a result, more and more LGBTQ individuals are forming families. Families thrive best in community. While it is possible and sometimes even easy to make friends and form community with other Jewish or LGBTQ families, there is a unique and powerful feeling that comes from being in community with other LGBTQ Jewish families. To that end, and with a generous grant from the UJA/COJIR – Nehirim is creating family programming in the Riverdale and Washington Heights area as well as the an event in the Queens areas. This will include monthly events revolving around the Jewish calendar, with lots of opportunities for learning, schmoozing, and connection for both parents and children. All in the loving, inclusive manner that we at Nehirim strive to maintain.
Come and learn and interact with other Jewish and Interfaith GLBTQ families.
