My House Shall Be A House For All People: Welcoming the LGBT community into our Houses of Worship | Tampa

Synagogues have become more welcoming than ever of LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) Jews, with all movements except Orthodoxy authorizing same-sex weddings and ordaining LGBT rabbis. Some feel that we still have a ways to go, while others are unsure of the impact of inclusion on Jewish community and tradition. A panel of local Rabbis and national LGBT activists, including award-winning author and Tampa native Dr. Jay Michaelson (recently included on the Huffington Post’s list of the top LGBT religious leaders in America), will discuss these issues and more in a first-for-our-community event.
