Please come out and join in a lively discussion! We’ll be reading two essays from the text “Queer Theory and the Jewish Question,” Columbia University Press, 2003. Chapter 3: “Queers Are Like Jews, Aren’t They? Analogy and Alliance Politics,” by Janet Jakobsen; and Chapter 5: “Jew Boys, Queer Boys: Rhetorics of Antisemitism and Homophobia in the Trial of Nathan “Babe” Leopold and Richard “Dickie” Loeb,” by Paul Franken. If you have never participated in a reading and discussion group, no problem! All are welcome to this participant-led discussion.
