Welcome! Nehirim (“Lights”) is the leading national provider of community programming for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) Jews, partners, and allies. Our retreats and other programs transform lives, and inspire GLBT Jews to be agents for change in their home communities. Nehirim is an independent, nonprofit, and nondenominational organization which celebrates the gifts of Judaism and sexual & gender diversity.

Nehirim’s primary programs are weekend retreats, held all over the country in both urban contexts and at residential retreat centers. We also run local programming in ten cities, and are expanding to more. What is a Nehirim retreat like? For some, it’s a relaxing weekend full of connections and community. For others, it may be the most Jewish thing they’ve done in years — for still others, the most “out.” Check out our video to get a taste.
